After spending some time with the Closed Alpha, I’m pleased to say that MultiVersus goes a bit deeper than that – and it’s actually fun to play. So much so that you could call it a complete ripoff, but here, that’s not a bad thing. Yes, at its core, it’s pretty much exactly like Super Smash Bros. So, the elephant in the room still needs to be addressed. MultiVersus is an upcoming free-to-play fighting game that throws characters like Batman, Arya Stark, and Velma Dinkley into battle across various stages, where each combatant attempts to knock their opponents out of bounds. Interactive Entertainment's MultiVersus is. But there's still plenty of room for alternatives, especially if they're as fun as Player First Games and Warner Bros. Just because a character is technically more powerful than others, you still need to know how to utilize their strengths in order to make them work. Even if you weren't aware, odds are you've run up against plenty of players choosing this brown tornado of destruction online and have been tempted to give him a shot yourself. Taz has been widely considered to be one of the top-tier characters in MultiVersus, even though he's been nerfed in multiple ways. It is a competent and competitive game that encourages you to learn the characters to come out on top. However, MultiVersus doesn't just rest on being a wacky mashup of characters from all across WB's franchises. Prior to this game, there was probably no scenario in which anyone would expect Bugs Bunny to interact with Arya Stark, and yet this game lets you control them in a Smash Bros.-style fighter. If you play normally in either Free-For-All, Singles, or Doubles, you will earn 20 candy for every match you win and only 10 for every match you lose. Candy is earned by completing matches, with different amounts rewarded for both wins and losses in each of the game modes. The main aspect of the Halloween event is a new, temporary currency called candy. The event itself will run up until November 15, giving you plenty of time to earn all the rewards you find appealing. The MultiVersus Halloween event is already underway, so you don’t need to do anything special to opt-in to participate.
